Today’s post is all about focussing on what you want.
NOT what you DON’T want.
I have been learning about the Law of Attraction recently and the following statement has been my mantra for the past week.
“FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT”
It is very easy to focus on what we don’t want. I have been an expert on this in the past.
2015 is going to be different.
I am focussing on what I WANT.
And what is really exciting is that 2015 is the year for MANIFESTING.
Manifesting is all about attracting what YOU WANT.
And we attract what we THINK ABOUT, VISUALISE and CREATE in our heads.
So let’s look at some examples. Examples are fun!
GOAL 1: TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANIMALS
I bet lots of us have or had this goal at some point. Right?
I know that for me, in the early days – I focussed A LOT on not being able to communicate with animals.
Here are some examples of what I was saying in my head:
- “I won’t be able to do it.”
- “You have to be born with the gift. I don’t have the gift.”
- “I’m not special, I couldn’t possibly be that lucky to be able to communicate with animals.”
Remember that YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT.
I’m going to say that again:
YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT.
Read the above statements again with that in mind. What are you going to get?
EXACTLY WHAT YOU ASKED FOR!
So let’s change it around:
- “I CAN communicate with animals.”
- “I CAN talk with my pets at any time with ease.”
- “I joyfully and easily receive messages from animals.”
The above are affirmations.
Repeat them daily.
Really feel them.
Play with the wording so that it feels RIGHT for you.
Visual yourself experiencing the affirmations.
How would you feel?
What would it be like?
How happy would you be?
As you repeat the affirmations, bring those feelings back into your body.
Now let’s look at another example:
GOAL 2: I WANT TO QUIT MY JOB
Now I have been very guilty of this in the past. Focussing on wanting to leave my job.
And for that reason it seemed to take forever to leave my job.
I made decisions based on my desire to LEAVE my job.
I ended up in the desperation zone.
I was brainwashing my head into thinking that by getting a ‘slightly different’ job – I would finally be happy.
This is the wrong way to go about it.
I was so focussed on what I didn’t want, that I attracted more of what I DIDN’T want!
So to turn this around, here are some tips for MANIFESTING WHAT YOU WANT!
Don’t just plan the escape route.
Really getting clear on what you want your lifestyle to be.
How you want your days to be.
How you want your months and years to be.
The WHY behind your goal is really important.
Is your WHY really about having freedom?
Is it about wanting to work from home so you can be with your pets all day?
Is it about wanting to make a difference?
Or wanting to pursue a passion that has been gnawing away at you?
Do you want to leave your job so you can work for yourself?
So really think about your WHY?
Why do you want that goal?
What is really behind the goal?
Start creating affirmations.
Visualise your ideal day.
Imagining what it feels like to work from home.
Write down your goals.
Get really specific.
Using the present tense for your goals. Eg. My business joyfully makes $X profit EVERY month.
Remember to create the goal and affirmation that really feels right for you.
You want to really feel it.
